This celebrated studio recording by Otto Klemperer and the Philharmonia Orchestra was made in September 1963 and became one of the conductor’s major Bruckner recordings for EMI. Klemperer uses the Nowak edition based on Bruckner’s 1886 state of the 1878/80 version, rather than the later 1888 revision.
