Juan de León, a name that appears with his forename in square brackets owing to some doubt about his identification, was a Spanish composer active between the late fifteenth and early sixteenth centuries, that is, in the era of the Catholic Monarchs. His name is linked to a single surviving work, although the records of cathedral chapters make it possible to reconstruct much of his career as an ecclesiastical musician.
