Gustave Lyon was a French piano manufacturer born in Paris on 19 November 1857 and died in the same city on 12 January 1936. His name is linked to the history of the Pleyel firm, one of the great keyboard instrument workshops of late nineteenth-century France.

Following the death of his father-in-law, Auguste Wolff, in 1887, Lyon took over the management of the Pleyel, Lyon et Cie company. No further details about the decisions or changes he introduced at the firm during his tenure are known with certainty.

His importance is understood above all within the trajectory of Pleyel, whose business he carried on at the helm after the family succession.
