Anthony Young was an organist and composer active in London during the first half of the eighteenth century. He is thought to have been born around 1685 and died in London in 1747. Around 1707 he held the post of organist at St Clement Danes church in the capital.

He is probably to be identified with a former chorister of the Chapel Royal who served there until March 1700. He is also credited with an error in Burney's dictionary, which assigned him the organ of St Katherine Cree, an attribution that cannot be sustained.

As a composer, he published seven songs in The Monthly Mask of Vocal Music between 1705 and 1709, and a collection entitled A New Collection of Songs (1707). In 1719, Walsh and Hare published his Suits of Lessons for harpsichord or spinet. In 1739 he was one of the founding members of the Society of Musicians.
